The Ridgefield Police Department has released an alert regarding Mia, a spayed 7-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who is up for adoption.
Police said that the Ridgefield Animal Control is looking to re-home Mia to a family with no other pets in the home, noting “Mia is great with children and people in general.” Mia was first put up for adoption at the beginning of the New Year, but a former dog sitter for the terrier said that she still hasn't found her "forever home."
Mia is reportedly great with people and children, though she struggles sometimes around other dogs, since she hasn't been properly socialized.
Anyone with interest in making Mia a part of their family and giving the terrier a new home can contact the Ridgefield Animal Control by calling (203) 431-2711.
